Horizontal Feeder

The Rockwell Crusher horizontal feeder is the starting point of the production line. Rock is dumped from trucks directly into this machine’s large hopper, and the feeder delivers it to the primary crusher at a steady, adjustable rate. This machine is built in three models, with capacities of 150 to 1000 tons per hour.

Application

Receiving rock from trucks, storing it and feeding the jaw crusher evenly at the start of the production line. Suitable for quarries with large rocks and river-rock mines. The grizzly system at the front of the machine removes fines before they enter the crusher.

Made by Rockwell Crusher

This machine is fully designed and built in the Rockwell Crusher workshop in Shahr-e Qods. As a result, its spare parts are always available, and our technical team is there for you for installation, commissioning and after-sales service.

How It Works

How Does a Horizontal Feeder Work?

  1. Rock dumping and storageThe truck dumps rock into the feeder’s hopper, which holds between 30 and 90 tons of rock.
  2. Rock moves forwardWith its vibrating motion, the feeder pan gradually moves the rock toward the front of the machine.
  3. Fines separationThe grizzly system at the front of the machine removes soil and small stones so they don’t enter the crusher unnecessarily.
  4. Crusher feedingCoarse rocks enter the primary crusher at a steady rate. The feed rate is controlled by adjusting the feeder’s stroke amplitude.
Features

Rockwell Crusher Horizontal Feeder Features

Large storage hopper

30 to 90 ton storage capacity for continuous crusher feeding, even with gaps between truck arrivals.

Grizzly system

Fines are separated at the front of the machine to reduce load and wear on the primary crusher.

Adjustable feed rate

Adjusting the feeder’s stroke amplitude matches the rock feed rate to the crusher’s capacity.

Durable structure

A strong, durable body and alloy steel shafts to withstand the impact of large rocks.

Wear-resistant plates

The body and pan floor are lined with wear-resistant plates to extend the machine’s life.

Reliable bearings

Double-row spherical roller bearings and a complete lubrication system for stable, trouble-free operation.

Technical Specifications

Technical Specifications Table

Model Capacity (t/h) Power (kW) Weight (t)
HFA-100 150 to 250 37 18
HFB-120 300 to 550 45 24.5
HFC-150 450 to 1000 55 50

Which Model Should I Choose? The feeder’s capacity should be slightly higher than the primary crusher’s, so the crusher never runs empty. The size of the largest rock from the mine and the type of trucks dumping the rock also affect model selection.
