Grizzly Feeder
The Rockwell Crusher grizzly feeder does two jobs at once: it delivers rock evenly to the primary crusher and, along the way, separates soil and small stones from it. The result is less load on the crusher, less wear on parts and a cleaner product. This machine is built in two models, with capacities of 150 to 300 tons per hour.
Application
Feeding the jaw crusher and removing soil and fines mixed with the rock before it enters the crusher. This machine sits under the feed hopper, right before the primary crusher, and noticeably improves line efficiency for rock mixed with soil.
Made by Rockwell Crusher
This machine is fully designed and built in the Rockwell Crusher workshop in Shahr-e Qods. As a result, its spare parts are always available, and our technical team is there for you for installation, commissioning and after-sales service.
How Does a Grizzly Feeder Work?
- Rock enters from the hopperRock falls from the feed hopper onto the feeder pan.
- Vibrating motionThe vibrating pan gradually moves the rock forward and spreads it over the grizzly bars.
- Fines separationSoil and small stones fall through the gaps between the grizzly bars and are diverted from the crusher path.
- Crusher feedingCoarse rocks enter the primary crusher at a steady rate. The feed rate is controlled by adjusting the vibration amplitude.
Rockwell Crusher Grizzly Feeder Features
Separates soil from rock
Removes soil and fines before the crusher for a cleaner product and less wear on parts.
Adjustable vibration amplitude
Adjusting the vibration amplitude matches the feed rate to the crusher’s capacity.
Durable structure
A strong, durable body that withstands the impact and weight of large rocks.
Alloy steel shafts
The machine’s shafts are made of alloy steel to withstand heavy, continuous operation.
Wear-resistant surfaces
A wear-resistant grid along the material path extends the life of the pan and body.
Reliable bearings
Double-row spherical roller bearings and a complete lubrication system for stable, trouble-free operation.

Grizzly Feeder or Horizontal Feeder? The grizzly feeder suits lines where rock arrives from a feed hopper and removing soil and fines is important. The horizontal feeder has a 30 to 90 ton storage hopper, receives rock directly from trucks and is built for higher capacities of up to 1000 tons per hour.
