Spiral Sand Washer
The Rockwell Crusher spiral sand washer separates mud, silt and clay from sand and delivers clean, dewatered sand. Washed sand bonds better with cement and improves concrete quality. This machine is built in two models, with capacities of 40 and 70 tons per hour.
Application
Washing sand and fine aggregates and separating mud and silt from them in sand and gravel production lines. This machine is usually placed after the vibrating screen and delivers clean, low-moisture sand for stockpiling or loading.
Made by Rockwell Crusher
This machine is fully designed and built in the Rockwell Crusher workshop in Shahr-e Qods. As a result, its spare parts are always available, and our technical team is there for you for installation, commissioning and after-sales service.
How Does a Spiral Sand Washer Work?
- Sand and water inflowSand enters the machine’s inclined tank together with water.
- Agitation and washingThe slowly rotating spiral agitates the sand in the water so that mud and silt are separated from the grain surfaces.
- Mud and silt removalLight mud and silt particles remain suspended in the water and exit through the tank overflow.
- Clean sand dischargeThe spiral carries the heavier sand up the incline. The sand is dewatered along the way and exits from the end of the machine.
