Spiral-Bucket Wheel Sand Washer
The Rockwell Crusher spiral-bucket wheel sand washer combines a spiral screw and a bucket wheel in a single machine. The spiral washes away clay stuck to the aggregate, and the bucket wheel dewaters the clean sand with minimal loss of fine sand. This machine has a capacity of 100 tons per hour.
Application
Washing sand and gravel that has mud and clay stuck to it in sand and gravel production lines. This machine is placed after the vibrating screen and replaces two separate machines: the spiral sand washer and the bucket wheel sand washer.
Made by Rockwell Crusher
This machine is fully designed and built in the Rockwell Crusher workshop in Shahr-e Qods. As a result, its spare parts are always available, and our technical team is there for you for installation, commissioning and after-sales service.
How Does a Spiral-Bucket Wheel Sand Washer Work?
- Material enters the spiral tankSand and gravel enter the spiral tank together with water.
- Washing with the spiralThe spiral rotates, agitates the material and separates the clay stuck to the aggregate. The mud and silt overflow with the water.
- Dewatering with the bucket wheelThe spiral carries the washed sand toward the bucket wheel. The buckets lift the sand and the water drains through the screens.
- Sand dischargeAt the top of the wheel, clean, low-moisture sand is discharged onto a belt conveyor or stockpile.
