Single-Toggle Jaw Crusher
The jaw crusher is the first crushing machine in a sand and gravel production line or mineral processing plant, reducing coarse run-of-mine rock to a suitable size for the next stages. The Rockwell Crusher jaw crusher comes in five models, with capacities of 60 to 900 tons per hour and feed sizes up to 1000 mm, and is fully built in our workshop in Shahr-e Qods.
Application
Primary crushing of hard and medium-hard rock from quarries and river-rock mines. Rock usually reaches this machine via a feeder, and its output goes to a cone or impact crusher for finer crushing.
Made by Rockwell Crusher
This machine is fully designed and built in the Rockwell Crusher workshop in Shahr-e Qods. As a result, its spare parts are always available, and our technical team is there for you for installation, commissioning and after-sales service.

Applications
Which Industries Use Jaw Crushers?
Thanks to its large opening and robust structure, the jaw crusher is suitable for primary crushing of almost any hard, abrasive rock. In a production line, rock usually reaches the jaw crusher via a grizzly feeder or heavy-duty vibrating feeder , and its output is carried to the next stage by a belt conveyor .
Sand and gravel production lines
Crushing quarry rock and river cobbles to produce aggregates for concrete, asphalt and road base.
Metal mines
Primary crushing of iron, copper, zinc and lead ore before secondary crushing and processing.
Non-metal mines
Crushing limestone, dolomite, gypsum and silica for the cement, glass and building materials industries.
Construction waste recycling
Crushing concrete and demolition debris for reuse in road base and road construction.
How It Works
How Does a Jaw Crusher Work?
- Rock enters between the two jawsRock enters from the top into the space between the fixed jaw and the moving jaw. This space is wide at the top and narrow at the bottom.
- Movement of the moving jawAn eccentric shaft constantly moves the moving jaw toward and away from the fixed jaw.
- Compression crushingWith each stroke, the rock is squeezed and crushed between the two jaws, gradually moving down the chamber.
- Product dischargeCrushed rock exits through the bottom opening. Product size is controlled by adjusting this opening.
Features
Rockwell Crusher Jaw Crusher Features
High power and capacity
High crushing power and capacity of up to 900 tons per hour in the largest model.
Manganese steel wear parts
The jaws and other wear parts are made of manganese steel and wear less than comparable machines.
Robust structure
A strong, high-strength body for stable operation under heavy ore loads.
Uniform output
Consistent product gradation for steady feeding of the next stages of the line.
Longer toggle, finer adjustment
This machine’s toggle is longer than comparable models, allowing a smaller discharge setting.
Easy maintenance
The lubrication system reduces maintenance costs, and spare parts can be replaced quickly and easily.
Machine Structure
Main Components of a Jaw Crusher
Knowing the machine’s components helps with the right selection, better maintenance and timely sourcing of spare parts.
Fixed jaw and moving jaw
Two corrugated manganese steel plates between which the rock is crushed. These plates are consumable parts and are replaced after wear.
Eccentric shaft
Converts the motor’s rotary motion into the reciprocating motion of the moving jaw — the heart of the machine.
Flywheel
Stores kinetic energy so the machine runs smoothly under heavy load without losing speed.
Toggle plate
Supports the moving jaw and acts like a fuse if uncrushable material such as a piece of iron enters the machine, preventing damage to the body.
Discharge setting adjustment system
By adjusting the gap at the bottom of the two jaws, the output size is set to match the production line’s needs.
Electric motor and belt drive
The electric motor’s power is transmitted to the flywheel and shaft by belts.

Which Model Should I Choose? The right model depends on the largest rock coming from the mine and the required line capacity. The machine’s opening must be larger than the largest feed rock. For an accurate selection and the motor power of each model, share your mine and production line specifications with our experts.
Jaw or Cone Crusher? The jaw crusher is for coarse run-of-mine rock and the first crushing stage. The cone crusher is usually placed after it and makes the jaw crusher’s output finer and more cubical. In most production lines, these two machines work side by side.
Price
What Determines the Price of a Jaw Crusher?
The price of a jaw crusher is not a fixed figure and depends on the model and order conditions. The most important factors affecting the price are:
Model and capacity
The larger the machine’s opening and capacity, the greater its weight, dimensions and therefore its price.
Quality of wear parts
The manganese content and casting quality of the jaws directly affect the machine’s service life and future costs.
Electric motor and auxiliary equipment
The type of electric motor, chassis, feeder and electrical panel affect the final price.
Transport, installation and after-sales service
The cost of transport to the mine, installation, commissioning and support should also be considered when comparing prices.
Up-to-date price inquiry: The Rockwell Crusher jaw crusher is built directly in our own workshop, with no middleman involved. For an accurate quote, tell our experts your required capacity, rock type and the largest feed size.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions About Jaw Crushers
What types of rock is a jaw crusher suitable for?
Almost all hard and medium-hard rocks, such as granite, basalt, iron ore, limestone and river cobbles. For very wet and sticky materials, the line conditions must be assessed separately.
What is the difference between single-toggle and double-toggle jaw crushers?
In the single-toggle model, the moving jaw has an elliptical motion; it has a simpler structure, lower weight and higher capacity for its size, and is the most common type today. The double-toggle model has a simpler motion and a heavier structure.
How long do jaw crusher jaws last?
It depends on the hardness and abrasiveness of the rock, operating hours and the quality of the manganese steel. Swapping the top and bottom of the jaws at the right time can extend their life.
What is the output size of a jaw crusher?
Output size is controlled by adjusting the bottom opening of the machine. The jaw crusher’s output is usually prepared for second-stage crushing in a cone crusher or impact crusher , and is then graded with a vibrating screen .
Does Rockwell Crusher also handle installation and spare parts?
Yes. Because the machine is built in our own workshop, spare parts such as jaws, toggle plates and bearings are available, and the Rockwell Crusher technical team is with you for installation, commissioning and after-sales service.
