Dynamic Sand Washer
The Rockwell Crusher dynamic sand washer is the most advanced method of washing sand in a production line. Hydrocyclones separate mud and silt from the sand, and the dewatering screen delivers sand so dry that it can be loaded immediately — with no water dripping from trucks on the road. This machine is built in three models, with capacities of 30 to 100 tons per hour.
Application
Washing and dewatering sand in sand and gravel production lines to produce clean sand that meets concrete standards. The muddy water discharged from this machine is free of grit and goes directly to the thickener, where up to 90% of it is recycled.
Made by Rockwell Crusher
This machine is fully designed and built in the Rockwell Crusher workshop in Shahr-e Qods. As a result, its spare parts are always available, and our technical team is there for you for installation, commissioning and after-sales service.
How Does a Dynamic Sand Washer Work?
- Slurry enters the tankSand and water enter the machine’s tank. A reverse water flow in the tank guides the sand particles toward the bottom of the tank.
- Pumping to the hydrocycloneThe slurry pump sends the sand-water mixture from the bottom of the tank to the hydrocyclones.
- Mud and silt separationIn the hydrocyclone, light mud and silt particles exit from the top with the water and go to the thickener. The heavier sand falls from the bottom of the cyclone onto the dewatering screen.
- Dewatering and sand dischargeThe dewatering screen, driven by two vibrating motors, removes water from the sand, and washed, ready-to-load sand exits from the end of the machine.
Rockwell Crusher Dynamic Sand Washer Features

Washed and dewatered sand can be loaded immediately — with no water dripping from trucks on the road.
Dynamic separation
A reverse water flow in the tank guides sand particles toward the pump, minimizing sand loss.
Full polyurethane lining
All wear-exposed surfaces, including the screen deck, inner walls and the inside of the cyclones, are lined with polyurethane.
Two adjustable vibrating motors
Two adjustable vibrating motors on the dewatering screen for effective dewatering suited to the sand type.
Ready for water recycling
The muddy discharge water is free of grit and ready to be sent to the thickener, where up to 90% of the water is recycled.
Modern design
A modern machine that washes, separates and dewaters sand in one compact unit.
Technical Specifications Table
| Model | Hydrocyclone diameter (mm) | Dewatering screen (M) | Dewatering screen power (kW) | Pump size (inch) | Pump power (kW) | Sand production capacity (t/h) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| SWA | 2 × 650 | 4.8 | 2 × 2.2 | 8 | 30 | 100 |
| SWB | 650 | 2.3 | 2 × 1.8 | 8 | 30 | 50 |
| SWC | 500 | 1.4 | 2 × 0.9 | 5 | 22 | 30 |
Dynamic or Spiral Sand Washer? The spiral sand washer is simpler and suitable for ordinary sand washing. The hydrocyclone-based dynamic sand washer loses less fine sand, separates mud and silt more precisely and delivers drier sand — ideal for lines where high sand quality and water savings matter.
